First let me start off by saying we want this to be a fun and exciting experience for you. A model for a day is what you will be! Before your shoot you will either meet me in person or we can talk over the phone about your upcoming session. We will discuss your session options and we will talk about outfits, backgrounds, the style your looking for, and get any and all questions you may have answered.
I include full magazine style retouching to every purchased image at no additional charge. This includes skin smoothly, evening out skin tones, nip/tucks as needed, I can remove stretch marks, scars, blemishes etc. I don't change you, I just make it the most perfect you possible.
I love to play music during our sessions, its fun and puts everyone in a great mood! If you have music of choice please feel free to bring your ipod. We will start our session off with your makeover. This is one of my favorite parts, hair and makeup really is part of the full experience. Its my goal to make you feel comfortable and confident, we want you to shine in your images and if your a little shy don' worry we will help bring out the vixen in you. I don't take a set amount of images, I go with what I like and what posing flatters your body style the best. After your boudoir session I will have a private proofing gallery emailed to you with a link and password with in 2 weeks of your session. Your gallery will remain active for about 3 to 4 days to give you time to make your purchasing decisions at your convenience.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- Where are you located?
-
Our studio is located in Folsom, California, we serve all of Northern California and are willing to travel to the bay area.
- What should I wear?
-
Being comfortable and feeling sexy should be your priority. Every woman is different so we suggest that you think about what makes you feel sexy. Some ideas from what women have done in the past: a silk nightshirt, jeans and a bra, boy-shorts, off the should sweater, lace overlay shirts, anything sheer or nothing at all. Adding accessories such as jewelry, gloves, hats, ties and heels! Being creative and personal is very important.
Outfits that we have found to be very flattering are: push-up bras, lace overlay shirts and cheaky underwear. Size is also very important, it is best if your outfits don't hug too tight or create any extra lines on your body, this is common with thigh highs because they need to be tight to stay up, we suggest the ones that are held up with a garter belt (plus they add a litttle sass). It is best to bring a few options so your shoot will have lots of variety.
- What should I expect for my shoot?
-
Expect fun! Boudoir Photography is about dressing up, being creative and getting in touch with your inner model. I know you have it In you! We will start off slow and get as risky as you feel comfortable. I guide you every step of the way and help you with posing that will flatter your body type. Your comfort is most important so you can shine in your images!!
- Can I purchase digital images to post online or for personal viewing on my computer?
-
Yes I do sell digital images.
- Can I bring a friend?
-
Yes of course! We encourage to bring a friend especially if you are uncomfortable, females only please. And please limit it to 1 friend. It helps take off the pressure and makes it fun.
- Can I drink before and during my shoot?
-
We dont mind you have a drink or two but we do not allow anyone to be drunk in our studio. We are confident though that you will feel you won't need it once you get started. Keep in mind when you drink that you may do things you won't be happy with later and most peoples eyes get red and lazy when they drink. Please make sure if you are drinking that you bring a driver.
- Can my husband come and watch the shoot?
-
Due to the nature of our business we are an all female staff. We do not allow men to attend shoots. We do not offer male boudoir. We do not do pornography. If you are interested in a couples boudoir shoot please inquire.
- How do I view my portraits?
-
I will provide a online proofing gallery for your viewing pleasure approximately 2 weeks after your shoot.
- Do I need to tan before my session?
-
We actually don't recommend tanning before your shoot. If its something you have always done then thats fine. If you want to tan please be sure to be aware of tan lines and make sure to keep your skin moisturized. PLEASE do not spray tan! Streaks, and mix matched skin tones can not be fixed in photoshop.
- I am very nervous, will it reflect in my pictures?
-
We have all types of clients, from all walks of life from models to stay at home mothers, even grandmothers. Almost everyone is nervous at first, but as soon as they walk in the door they feel at ease. Our shoot is one on one with just me and you in the room. Women are beautiful and it takes the eye of a woman to see this. Most of all you need to do it for yourself. One thing I tell all my clients is this will be something you can look back on for years to come and remember what a beautiful strong woman you are!
- Do you offer payment plans?
-
Yes I do! Please inquire :) I want you to have your beautiful images and am more than happy to work out a payment plan that will suit your budget.
- What hours are you open?
-
I shoot mostly natural light in my studio. I prefer to shoot during the day around 11am or 2pm. Please plan ahead when booking your shoot. I book sessions Tuesday thru Fridays. I have a family of 7 and do not work weekends, as this is my family time. If you are booking a Boudoir party of 5 or more I will make an exception on the occasional Saturday.
- How long does it take to get my images back? How far out should I do my shoot?
-
Images usually take two weeks before viewing then production on your images will take anywhere from 2-4 weeks. Large orders up to 4 weeks. If you are doing this for a special occasion we recommend to do your shoot at least 6 weeks before your target date. It gives you more options on products. Custom albums can take up to 6 weeks to get.
